Case Study: Perforated Window Graphics in Orange County
For this project at the Boys & Girls Club of Cypress, the client asked us to wrap eight large front windows with perforated graphics. To extend the lifespan of the graphics and materials, we applied a laminate that protects the vinyl from UV rays. It also makes the wrapped windows easier to clean, since no dust or grime will build up in the small holes. The finished window wraps transform the building’s front with the Club’s colors and messages.

What makes our perforated window graphics different from those offered by so many other shops? We use an optically clear laminate that protects the prints from UV rays and helps them last much longer. Most other shops skip this step because of the expense of the cast laminate required to conform to the perforation holes. In their effort to submit a winning bid, they inadvertently jeopardize the longevity of the product.
Moreover, it is more difficult to install laminated perforated graphics without bubbling. Of course, that consideration is no obstacle for our team. We are 3M preferred installers and have developed best practices for installing the window graphics without any bubbling or peeling.
How Does This Extra Laminate Benefit Our Clients?
- Laminated perforated window graphics have two to three times the lifespan of a similar but non-laminated product.
- Laminate makes cleaning easier.
